Nathalie Bennett is a professional stage and film actor who is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association. She is a native of Oakland, California. As a youngster she attended Oakland public schools, and also received several years of musical training in chorus and violin. She participated in a number of local summer stock productions. 

 

After high school, she attended and graduated from UCLA. She received acting training at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and with Margie Haber Studios in Los Angeles.

 

Ms. Bennett is a two-time award nominee for her dynamic performances on stage: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama by the Desert Theatre League for her gripping work in The Garbologists in 2023; and Best Principal Actress by the San Francisco Theatre Critics Circle for her riveting work in the acclaimed dramedy, The Mountaintop

 

Ms. Bennett has garnered acclaim from audiences and media with her vivid characterizations of multiple characters in one-person shows. Solo stage plays include: A Shadow in the Clouds - The Bessie Coleman Story; Yesterday Came Too Soon - The Dorothy Dandridge Story; and Tituba, which toured in Berkeley, San Diego, the Virgin Islands, and NYC. Other stage productions include, but are not limited to: the title role in Toypurina at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, leads in The Girls of Summer, Hairitage, When We Were Colored, A Raisin in the Sun, The Piano Lesson, This Land Was Made, Steal Away, and more.  

 

Films include, among others, Netflix’s Rebirth and award-nominated Jacob Stone. She has performed voiceover work for an Audible Original podcast series, and for commercial and animation productions. She has done industrial, commercial and print work for Nike, Cisco, Symantec, University of Phoenix, 2K Games, Yahoo!, Oxbryta, HealthNet, Pottery Barn, The Travel Channel and others.

 

Nathalie enjoys working with puppets, and is a consummate Sumo Wrestling and NBA fan. A history buff, she is an avid reader (so many books, so little time!). She is a proficient violinist and a superlative ping pong player. Her skill at dominoes is ferocious and unrelenting - she does not lose! She is also an aficionado of Detroit, Chicago and New York style pizzas. She has a rambunctious 3 lb Yorkshire terrier, two cunning and crafty Meezers, and three show-stopping Ragdolls.
